Andrew Siemion
Andrew P(atrick) V(incent) Siemion is an astrophysicist and Director of the Berkeley SETI Research Center.[1][2] In September 2015, Siemion testified on the current status of astrobiology to the House Committee on Science, Space, and Technology of the US Congress.[3][4][5][6][7][8] His research interests include high energy time-variable celestial phenomena, astronomical instrumentation and the search for extraterrestrial intelligence (SETI).[9]
In 2012, Siemion received a Ph.D. in astrophysics from UC Berkeley. Siemion holds postdoctoral posts at UC Berkeley, Netherlands Institute for Radio Astronomy (ASTRON) and Radboud University Nijmegen, Netherlands.
