Angela Wozniak (born March 11, 1987) is the current member of the New York State Assembly from the 143rd District, representing the town of Cheektowaga, the town of Lancaster, and the village of Depew. She is of Polish heritage.[1]
Career
In 2011, Wozniak was elected as the first female Conservative in the history of the Town Cheektowaga as a member of the town board.
She is currently the only Conservative member in the Assembly,[2] She is the third member of the Conservative Party to be a member of the New York State Assembly, and the second Conservative woman member, after Rosemary R. Gunning and Charles A. Jerabek.
Personal life
Wozniak lives in Cheektowaga with her husband, Phil Drenning, and their son, Ari.
Wozniak graduated from Lancaster High School.[3]
Legal issues
On March 9, 2016, Wozniak was disciplined and banned from hiring interns following allegations she sexually harassed and retaliated against a top staffer with whom she had previously had an affair after he had ended the relationship.[4][5]
