Anthony's biggest influence came when he first heard Led Zeppelin's John Bonham as well as Billy Joel's Liberty Devitto and Kiss's Peter Criss, In an Interview he said “I can remember seeing Kiss in 1980 and coming home crying because I wanted to be Peter Criss so badly.”[4] In 1988, after growing up and previously studying music and percussion at the "Long Island Drum Center",[5] he decided to move to Southern California and pursue his dream of becoming a full fledged rock star. Entering the music scene in L.A. he met many like minded musicians and eventually enrolled into the Musicians Institute in Hollywood earning him the nickname "Tiny Bubz".[6]
