The show features aspiring models from the entire Far East region and South Asia continent.[1][2]

On December 3, 2015, Georgina Wilson announced via her official Instagram account that she would not return as the host of the show.[3] Alex Perry and Joey Mead King both also confirmed that they would not be returning for the fourth cycle. The judges were replaced by Thai supermodel Cindy Bishop as host and head judge, Indonesian model Kelly Tandiono as model mentor, along with America's Next Top Model's Yu Tsai joining the show as creative consultant.

The cycle featured 14 contestants, three from the Philippines, two from Indonesia and Thailand, and one each from Hong Kong, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Singapore, South Korea and Vietnam. South Korea marked its return after last cycle's absency, while Mongolia and Myanmar made their first ever appearance. China, India, Japan, Nepal and Taiwan were unrepresented.

Among the prizes are a brand new Subaru XV, the chance of becoming the new face of TRESemmé for one of their 2016 campaigns, the chance to appear in a spread and on the cover of Harper's Bazaar Singapore and a modeling contract with Storm Model Management in London.

Episode 1: The Girl Who Had No Bed

Original airdate: 9 March 2016

The fourteen chosen models arrived at the Singapore Sports Hub and were greeted by editor-in-chief of Harper's Bazaar Singapore Kenneth Goh and model Kelly Tandiono, who revealed that she will be a permanent judge for the remainder of the competition. The girls were then introduced to the host, model Cindy Bishop who walked down an uneven runway with multiple edges. The girls were set their first challenge - in which they had to walk down the same runway and pose at each edge. Patricia, Tawan and Tuti impressed the judges, while Maya was castigated for not looking like a model.

The girls moved into their new house in the South Beach Hotel. Sang-in was left without a bed, as there were only thirteen beds available. The girls then received their first Cindy Mail. Cindy (in a video recording) told the girls about a major change in the show format: a scoring system, based on that introduced on the nineteenth cycle of America's Next Top Model, would be implemented, with each girl receiving a score of 1 to 10 based on their performance at challenges and photo shoots. Cindy then announced that the girl with the lowest score for the challenge that took place earlier would be immediately eliminated. First, the eleven highest-scoring girls were revealed, with Patricia getting the highest score at 9.5, and therefore winning the challenge, and Angie, Mai Ngo and Maya being the bottom three. Angie and Mai Ngo's scores were revealed, followed by Maya's score which was the lowest at 3.3, meaning she was out of the competition.

The next day, the girls participated in their first photo shoot, the theme of which was "Fashion Transcends Time"; they were styled in 60's fashion in a giant bubble suspended high up. Patricia's shoot entertained the judges, while Tuti and Aldilla impressed as well. Mai Ngo was praised for her creativity, while Angie was criticised for posing in an inappropriate way for her skirt. Tugs, Tawan and Gwen all failed to impress. Back at the house, Alaiza noticed that Mai Ngo was taking all the house's food supply for herself and didn't share with the others. She told the rest of the girls about this and they considered talking to Mai Ngo about her behaviour.

At judging panel, Tuti, Alaiza, Aldilla and Patricia were all lauded for their performances, while Angie was reprimanded for her inappropriate posing. Backstage, while waiting for the judges to calculate their scores, Alaiza, Angie and Tuti confronted Mai Ngo about her behavior. Tuti received the highest score of the week, while Mai Ngo's photo was declared the best. Angie and Gwen landed in the bottom two. Cindy handed the last photograph to Angie, eliminating Gwen. However, in a twist Cindy revealed that Gwen was saved from elimination, since there had already been an elimination that week.

Episode 2: The Girl Who Bounced Back

Original airdate: 16 March 2016

Back at the house, the models were relieved that none of them were eliminated, especially Gwen. Mai Ngo took the opportunity to apologize to the other girls about her attitude earlier that week, although Tuti doubted the sincerity of her apology. They received Cindy Mail mentioning "bouncing", and were later brought to the AMPED Park, Singapore's first indoor trampoline park. They were greeted by Kelly and a personal trainer for a lesson about composure and elegance while jumping on the trampoline. Jessica sprained her ankle while on the trampoline and had to be taken to the hospital. Many of the girls thought Jessica injured herself on purpose so that she would not have to partake in the lesson.

Kelly revealed that their challenge for the week would take place in the stadium itself. The girls had to pose while jumping from the trampoline. Tuti, Tugs and Patricia struggled. Jessica didn't participate in the challenge because she was still in hospital. Angie won the challenge and was rewarded a $1,000 shopping spree from Zalora.

While reviewing their challenge scores for that week, Jessica returned from the hospital and noticed that she was given a 0 for not participating. Tension brewed between Jessica and the other girls when Gwen said that Jessica had told her she was "happy" to have gotten injured because she would not have to participate in the lesson. This lead to the girls, particularly Gwen and Alaiza, talking behind Jessica's back all week.

At the photo shoot the bouncing theme continued, and the girls had to pose gracefully in mid-air while jumping on a trampoline at the top of SCAPE Singapore. Mai Ngo and her extensive dancing background impressed Kelly immensely, with Angie, May and Julian also impressing. Patricia struggled with timing and was told by Kelly that her performance was very weak. Jessica, who was still on crutches, was allowed to pose at the edge of the trampoline with either a wheelchair or her crutches, much to the dismay of the other girls.

Before judging, Jessica told the girls that she knew they had been talking about her behind her back, and that she wouldn't demand an apology from them because she was only there for the competition. The girls dismissed this, with Julian openly admitting that she hoped Jessica would be sent home. At panel, the judges applauded Angie's improvement and also praised Mai Ngo and Julian, while criticizing Tugs, Aldilla, Patricia and Tawan for their weak photographs. Tugs' photo reminded the judges of a "squashed frog". Jessica's photograph impressed the judges, but she was reprimanded for not participating in the challenge. Ultimately, Tugs and Jessica wound up in the bottom two. Although Tugs had been 4 points ahead of Jessica in the challenge, Jessica's score from the judges put her ahead of Tugs, who was subsequently sent home.

Episode 3: The Girl Who Got Cut

Original airdate: 23 March 2016

Back at the model house, everybody congratulated Angie for having received best photo. The following day, a Cindy Mail arrived along with a gift containing hair cutouts, signifying makeover week. Mai Ngo expressed concern over not wanting a short haircut. The makeovers were administered at the Jean Yip Hub. Most girls received drastic changes and cried during their makeovers. May, Jessica and Mai Ngo openly expressed their distaste of their new hairdos, while Alaiza confessed that she was jealous of the other girls for getting more drastic makeovers, since her own makeover didn't make her look any different than before. Back at home, Tuti, Tawan and Aldilla compared themselves to Kenneth and Lourd.

For the photo shoot, the girls had to pose for various different shots to be used in professional comp cards. They were each given 20 minutes for 2 frames of each comp card. Kelly noted that, since there had been no challenge for the week, all their scores would be based solely on the photo shoot. Patricia and Tuti impressed Kelly, while May, Gwen, Alaiza, Julian, and Mai Ngo struggled. Sang-in was ill and had to be rushed to the hospital. The other girls worried that her absency in the photo shoot would result in an automatic elimination, but she made it back to the studio and was rushed to finish her shoot. Sang-in rocked her photo shoot, much to everyone's surprise.

At panel, Sang-in's photo was met with universal praise. Tuti, Aldilla and Angie impressed as well, while May was critiqued for not working the brief she aimed. The judges praised Gwen's efforts to get out of her "beauty queen" comfort zone but criticized her comp card. Together with Mai Ngo she wound up in the bottom two. The final scores were revealed, and with a difference of 4 points, Mai Ngo was sent home.

Episode 4: The Girl Who Crashed And Burned

Original airdate: March 30, 2016

Back at the house, everybody marveled at Sang-in's best photo. Cindy mentioned beforehand that Sang-in would receive a special prize as a part of her best photo win, which turned out to be a 40-minute phone call for her to use for herself or to share with someone else. Tension brewed when Jessica asked May if she could move to Mai Ngo's old bed, with May quickly rebuffing the idea. The frustration led Jessica to tell to Sang-in that a call with her family would really give her extra strength to keep on continuing, to which Sang-in agreed, sharing 10 minutes of her reward with Jessica.

Their challenge was set on the beach and involved the girls practicing paddle board yoga with Nicole Chung, where they had to replicate Nicole's yoga poses on a surfboard while floating in the water. Gwen's determination couldn't stop her from being the first one falling off her board, and in the end it was between Angie and Julian to win the challenge. Angie triumphed and won her second consecutive challenge. She received an unusually high challenge score of 15 as her prize.

The girls were then brought to their photo shoot and were greeted by Daniel Boey, who last appeared in the first cycle. The photo shoot involved them posing wearing long gowns in front of speeding Subaru Forester cars. The models were introduced to the CEO of Subaru himself, Glenn Tan, along with two models from the previous cycles, Natalie from cycle 2 and Monika from cycle 3. Everyone struggled to some degree, but Tawan impressed Daniel immensely.

At panel, the girls were introduced to Yu Tsai, the creative director of America's Next Top Model, who would be their fourth judge of the evening. Although the way she presented herself was criticized, Tawan wowed everyone in the room with her photograph, while everyone else received mixed comments. Alaiza was reprimanded by Cindy for appearing unsure of herself and her place in the competition, while Gwen once again failed to impress. Cindy then announced that there would be a double elimination for the week.

During elimination, Tawan received best photo, and it was announced that she would be awarded immunity for next week's photo shoot, and would also be chosen as the 2016 Subaru ambassador by Glenn Tan. Cindy became upset when Alaiza answered "we'll see" when she was asked if modeling is her passion. Ultimately, Aldilla, Gwen, and Sang-in, ended up as the bottom three. Gwen was eliminated first, with Aldilla following shortly after. However, Cindy announced that she couldn't eliminate Aldilla as she saw her determination, and proceeded to ask Alaiza whether or not she wished to stay. After a tense pause, Alaiza said no and quit the competition, much to the shock of the other girls, allowing Aldilla to remain in the competition.

Episode 5: The Girl Who Went To The Big Apple

Original airdate: April 6, 2016

Julian expressed feeling lonely because Gwen and Alaiza had been eliminated, while Jessica was happy. All girls arrived at the Bugis+ shopping mall, where they met Thai fashion sensation Madeaw (Apichet Atilattana) for their challenge. The girls were asked to hold a pose as mannequins for 30 minutes while they were styled by Madeaw, and Sang-in was chosen as the winner of the challenge. As her prize, she was granted the ability to decide who her partners would be for the upcoming photo shoot.

On set, Yu Tsai was joined by fashion designer Patricia Field, Maybelline makeup director Nigel Stanislaus, and photographer Jesper McIlroy. Sang-in chose Aldilla and Julian as her teammates for the shoot. The second group was composed of Jessica, May and Patricia, while the third consisted of Angie, Tawan and Tuti. May and Sang-in excelled in their sessions, while Aldilla, Angie, Jessica, and Julian struggled the most.

During elimination, May received the highest total score and was given an all-expense trip and two tickets to New York Fashion Week 2016. Jessica and Julian landed in the bottom two, but it was Jessica who received the lowest score and was eliminated from the competition.

Episode 6: The Girl Who Fell Overboard

Original airdate: April 13, 2016

Back at the house, the sight of Jessica in May's best photo on the wall made Sang-in break down in tears, as she had been very close to her. Sang-in to woke up sick again the next day, and she was prominently absent the next day as they were greeted by Daniel Boey and Meghna Mistry of Zalora Singapore for their challenge. The challenge involved the girls being aware of how to dress and accessorize themselves well according to any theme they might be given. They were given 10 minutes to dress themselves with clothes and accessories from the Zalora store in accordance to a color palette they'd later choose randomly. They were also asked to pick another girl as a pair.

Models Colour
Patricia & Tuti Blue
May & Tawan Green
Aldilla & Angie Red
Julian & Sang-in Yellow

Julian was left alone without a pair, until Daniel informed the girls that Sang-in had made the efforts to participate in the challenge that day, ensuring a pair for Julian. However, in a twist Daniel revealed that they would be judged against each other, and the girl who came out with the better outfit would win. Angie didn't like what Aldilla put on and was confident that she would be the winner out of the two of them, while Julian wasn't confident with being paired against Sang-in since she thought South Koreans had a great sense of style.

After the time ran out, Daniel and Meghna reviewed the girls' outfits. All of them received praise and impressed the two judges to some degree, but it was Tawan, Tuti, Julian and Aldilla who were singled out as the better performers in each pair. The four joint winners each received a 15-minute phone call, while the losers were given 10-minute calls. Daniel then announced that there would be an additional prize for the best performer out of the four winners, which went to Tuti. She was allowed to take any clothing items from the store as she wished in 15 seconds.

The girls were later brought to the location of their photo shoot, in which they would be wearing clothes from Zalora while they posed on a yacht as it traveled on the Singapore River. Cindy, Meghna and Yu Tsai were all present at the shoot, and many of the girls expressed disdain over having to work with Yu Tsai again. Cindy informed the models that the girl with the best performance would be chosen as the face of Zalora for 2016. Tawan, Sang-in and Tuti shone, while Julian and Aldilla were reprimanded by Yu Tsai for their inability to follow instructions. Angie and Patricia also received negative feedback from the mentors, the former for not executing her pose on time and the latter for overposing.

At panel, Tawan, Tuti and Sang-in all received praise from the judges. Yu Tsai noted that Patricia stomped everyone else in terms of energy, but she had no idea how to control it, while Aldilla was criticized for having a disconnection between her facial expression and her pose. Angie attempted to request that Yu Tsai not to shout at them so much, offending him in the process, and later apologizing in tears for not knowing her place in the competition. Sang-in was named the face of Zalora for 2016, while Julian and Aldilla wound up in the bottom two. Their scores were revealed and Aldilla was sent home.

Episode 7: The Girl With The Diamond Smile

Original airdate: April 20, 2016

While Sang-in cherished her second best photo, Tuti, Tawan and Patricia were all saddened by the departure of Aldilla, especially Tuti, who felt like she had lost a sister. After receiving a Cindy Mail mentioning smiles, the models were brought to the offices of Fox International Channels and Star World, the home network of Asia's Next Top Model. There they were greeted by Cindy, who later introduced them to Filipino actor Tom Rodriguez. After a brief workshop about different kinds of smiles, they were subjected to their challenge for the week, which involved the girls acting out scenarios emphasizing their attraction with Tom as their co-lead.

Models Act
Angie A visit to the dentist
Julian Pulled over by a cop for speeding
May Picking up a guy at a club
Patricia Model hitting on the photographer
Sang-in Picking up a guy on the train
Tawan Romeo and Juliet
Tuti Forgot her purse and can't pay for coffee

Each of the scenario required the girls to make the no-nonsense characters played by Tom to smile. The challenge caused much entertainment between the girls, and in the end everyone but Sang-in and Tuti managed to make him smile. Tom then revealed that Patricia had been chosen as the winner of the challenge, and had earned a dinner date with him.

The week's photo shoot was for Close-up. The models were introduced to Indonesian model and actor Mike Lewis, who would be their partner for the shoot. Patricia was stiff at the beginning, but after doing salsa dancing she managed to loosen up and impress everyone. Tawan and Angie were also praised, the former for her believable connection with Tom and the latter for showing improvement in taking direction from Yu Tsai. Tuti struggled, as she wasn't confident with her smile and admitted that she wasn't used to doing smiling shoots. At the end of her session Tuti broke down in tears in front of Kelly, Mike and Yu Tsai, irritating the latter, who deemed her behavior unprofessional. The rest of the girls received mixed responses from the mentors.

At panel, Angie, Patricia and Tawan were all lauded for their photographs. Disagreement erupted between the judges when it came to Julian's photo, which was loved by Kelly and Cindy but panned by Yu Tsai. May broke down in front of the judges after receiving a lukewarm response for her photo, while Tuti was castigated by Yu Tsai for her unprofessional behavior on set. During elimination, Patricia received her first best photo and was chosen as the face of Close-up for 2016. She also received a pair diamond earrings from Close-up. May and Tuti ended wound up in the bottom two. Tuti was spared, and a very emotional May was sent home.

Episode 8: The Girl Who Drove Into The Spotlight

Original airdate: April 27, 2016

At the model house Tuti found a note left by May, thanking her for being a great roommate. Patricia marveled about her first best photo win, while Angie shared the story about her eye infection caused by wearing too much makeup, and having to wear glasses to prevent further irritation to her eyes. Afterwards, the girls received a Cindy Mail telling them about their once-in-a-cycle challenge: the go-see.

They models had a total of three clients to meet: Pevita Pearce, a brand ambassador for Maybelline, Chelsea Scott, and Zenchi. The girls were told to form three groups of two, and that they would be judged against each other. Angie and Julian, Patricia and Tuti and Sang-in and Tawan went off as pairs. Pevita Pearce told the models that she was looking for a girl to be in an upcoming campaign for Maybelline 2016, and in the end everyone received positive comments from her.

Chelsea Scott and Zenchi were both looking for runway models to book. Julian was distracted by the presence of Yu Tsai, whom she was uncomfortable working with. At the casting for Zenchi, Sang-in wound up overthinking everything and came off as uninspiring to both clients. Chelsea praised Angie's striking look and Julian's confidence, while Zenchi was impressed by Tuti, Angie and Tawan. Patricia also impressed both clients with her stellar walk. Back at the model house, the girls are surprised by the appearance of Yu Tsai, who proceeded to give them the results of their go-sees. Sang-in ended up booking none, while Angie booked all three clients, earning Angie her third challenge win. Aside from being booked by all three clients, it was revealed that Angie had also won the aforementioned Maybelline 2016 campaign.

The following day, the models were greeted by Daniel Boey on location for their next photo shoot: a music video campaign for Subaru XV directed by Kevin Ou to be displayed in Subaru showrooms across the world. The brief was showing 'confidence in motion' in a nightclub setting, culminating in a group take infront of a Subaru XV. Subaru CEO Glenn Tan once again made an appearance during the shoot. Patricia was praised for incorporating her energy and confidence to the theme, while Tawan pleased Daniel for being a natural in front of the camera. Angie impressed as well, although both her and Daniel were concerned about her not being able to see well since she had to take her glasses off. The other three girls received more mixed responses; Julian was deemed as unmemorable, Tuti failed to find her light and Sang-in fell flat.

At panel, the campaign was premiered and was loved by the judges and models alike. Individually, Patricia and Angie shone, while Tuti was criticized for missing her mark and ruining her take. Patricia ended up earning her second consecutive best performance, while Sang-in and Tuti ended up in the bottom two. Sang-in was spared by a difference of 1 point, but since the judges had been impressed by the all of the girls' performance to some degree, Cindy revealed that Tuti would be been allowed to remain in the competition as well. Cindy then asked Patricia to step back on stage, and Glenn Tan revealed that she would also be chosen as a Subaru Brand Ambassador for 2016 alongside Tawan.

Episode 9: The Girl Who Sank Without A Trace

Original airdate: May 4, 2016

While everybody else cheered over the fact that none of them was eliminated on the last judging panel, Tuti lamented on how she was supposedly eliminated but was given another chance by the judges. She confessed that she'd thought about whether or not she deserved the chance and even to quit. Several hours later, when the sun was barely shining through, the models were suddenly woken up by two burly men, shaking the girls off their sleeps and telling them to get ready for their activity that day. They were brought to the stadium, where it turned out that their uncomfortable waking up process wa a part of a sports-related challenge, headed by Kelly and Yu Tsai, complete with a runway behind them. The challenge required the girls to perform several excruciating fitness moves and then sprint to the backstage of the runway, get changed in their outfits and strut down the runway, all while keeping their composure.

The six models were divided into three teams of two, and none of the girls excelled in the fitness part of the challenge. Highlights from the runway part included Julian managing to change into her wardrobe in just 30 seconds, while Patricia decided to put on her garments while still wearing her sports outfit inside. Angie was terrified of not being able to see the end of the runway since she had to take her glasses off, but in the end managed to deliver a composed walk, with Tuti and Patricia also impressing. Yu Tsai then informed that Tuti is the winner of the challenge, and her reward is to enjoy a manicure treatment back at the model house, which she shared with Tawan.

The next day, the models received a Cindy Mail mentioning "splash". The models were brought to the studio and were greeted by Yu Tsai, Kenneth Goh and the third placer of the previous cycle, Aimee Cheng-Bradshaw, who was also the face of Neutrogena, their sponsor for the day. The beauty shoot added a twist with the girls having to pose wearing no make-up while being splashed by water all around them. Each girls also received their own product and theme to portray.

Model Product Theme
Angie Ultra sheer waterlight sun block Confidence
Julian Hydro boost renewal serum Effortless beauty
Patricia Rainbath shower gel Indulgence
Sang-in Cucmber green hydrating oil cleanser Refreshing
Tawan Deep clean brightening mulberry ultra foam cleanser Freshness
Tuti Deep clean foaming cleanser Youthful innocence

Patricia started out rigid, but turned it out at the end, while Julian was deemed as boring throughout and Yu Tsai once again wasn't impressed with her inability to take directions. Sang-in opted not to overthink and just enjoy the flow of the photo shoot this time, and she impressed both Yu Tsai and Kenneth greatly, while Tawan and Tuti were criticized for taking their theme into a literal level and not giving enough layers and sophistication. Angie, on the other hand, had the most problems during the shoot. She was uncomfortable wearing her bikini top, which was see-through, and then her thin body frame couldn't handle the cold water splashed on her and she spent herself shivering in the middle of her shoot. However, after Yu Tsai stated that he won't give up on her, Angie pushed through and managed to deliver.

At the judging panel, everyone received mixed reviews for their photographs. Julian's shot was loved, but both Kenneth and Yu Tsai reprimanded her for being saved by the virtue of a lucky shot, and while Patricia was applauded for being able to take directions, she was noted for bringing too much high fashion appeal to the otherwise commercial shoot. Sang-in's shot impressed as well, but her body was deemed as too tense. As expected from their shoot, both Tuti and Tawan's final shots showing them in a shallow and literal interpretation of their respective themes, without actual depth or edge in each shots. Angie was praised for pulling through the difficult nature of the shoot, but she was questioned by Kelly, Cindy and Kenneth for her modesty instead of being professional. Yu Tsai, however, sided with Angie and noted how important it is to value one's choices for their body.

At the end, Sang-in stroke her third best performance, and was subsequently named the face of Neutrogena 2016. Julian, Patricia and a visibly shocked Angie followed, leaving best friends Tuti and Tawan in the bottom two, both for sinking after reaching high points prior to the top 6. Their scores were revealed and Tuti once again earned the lowest score, this time eliminating her for good from the competition, much to the dismay of the other girls.
