Austria in the Eurovision Song Contest 1966
Austria was represented by Udo Jurgens, with the song Merci, Chérie, at the 1966 Eurovision Song Contest, which took place on 5 March in Luxembourg City. This was the third time in a row that Austria was represented by Udo Jürgens and the first time Austria has won the contest. It would take Austria 48 years to win the contest again with Conchita Wurst in the Eurovision Song Contest 2014.
