Spain in the Eurovision Song Contest 1966
Spain was represented by Raphael at the Eurovision Song Contest 1966, held in Luxembourg. Raphael was selected internally by Radiotelevisión Española (RTVE), the Spanish broadcaster, to represent the country with the song "Yo soy aquél".
At Eurovision
Raphael performed 11th in the night of the contest, following Yugoslavia and preceding the United Kingdom. At the close of voting Raphael had received 9 points, placing 7th in a field of 18.[1]
