Spain entered the Eurovision Song Contest 1999, held in Jerusalem, Israel. Televisión Española (TVE) internally selected Lydia to represent Spain with the song "No quiero escuchar" (I don't want to listen).

At Eurovision

Lydia performed third in the running order, following Belgium and preceding Croatia. She received just one point for her performance, from Croatia, coming last of 23.
