Břest is a village and municipality (obec) in Kroměříž District in the Zlín Region of the Czech Republic.
The municipality covers an area of 10.8 square kilometres (4.2 sq mi), and has a population of 933 (as at 28 August 2006).
Břest lies approximately 7 kilometres (4 mi) north-east of Kroměříž, 22 km (14 mi) north-west of Zlín, and 233 km (145 mi) east of Prague.
