BGC (Begum Gulchemonara) Trust University (Bengali: বেগম গুলচেমনারা ট্রাস্ট বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়) also known as BGC Trust University Bangladesh is a private university in Bangladesh, established in 2002. The university is 34 km from the port city Chittagong at a place popularly known as BGC Biddyanagar by the side of the Chittagong-Cox's Bazar Road. The main campus in Chandanaish, spread over 100 acres (0.40 km2) of land, consists of a private university, a private medical college, a 1,000-bed hospital, a nurses' institute, a dental college, a college of physiotherapy and an IT institute.
History
BGC Trust was founded by Engr. Afsar Uddin Ahmad. BGC Trust University is approved by the Government Education and University Grants Commission (UGC) of Bangladesh.
Students
BGC Trust University began in 2002 with 500 students. Now it has grown to more than 12,000. There are students from Dhaka, Chittagong, Rajshahi, sylhet, Khulna, Barishal etc.
Health services
The Medical Center of the BGC Trust University, located near the BGC Trust Medical College & Hospital, offers 50% free medical service and free pathological examinations to students, teachers and staffs of the university and also to family members of the teachers and staffs. The centre provides service round the clock, seven days a week, with 50 doctors. The centre has dental unit, eye unit, x-ray department and two ambulances. The centre has a 500 bed accommodation so that students suffering from contagious diseases as chicken pox, mumps etc. may be taken care of in isolation.
Library
The BGC Trust University library has 20,000 books, a collection of print journals and other publications, and subscriptions to international academic journals. The library has branches at Biddayanagar Campus and at Biddayaniketon Campus.
IT facilities
The ICT Center of BGCTU has an Internet bandwidth (uploading & downloading) from 4Mbit/s/4Mbit/s to 30Mbit/s/30Mbit/s. This service is provided by BTCL through direct optical connectivity.
Cafeteria
There are faculty cafeterias on the campus of BGC Trust University. This place is regarded as the hub of intellectual center of the University & most famous of them is Bangha Bondhu Freedom square center.
Transport
BGC Trust University has transport services for students. Students can travel to the campus by bus from the City. It takes 50–60 minutes to reach the campus from Chittagong city by car Mini-bus services between the city and campus have been introduced.

The academic year of the BGC Trust university has two semesters. The duration of each semester is six month.

Admission
Admission requirements are a minimum GPA must be 3.00 (both in SSC and HSC) or equivalent background. Minimum O-Level in five subjects and A-Level in two subjects.
Financial scholarships are available for deserving candidates. Apart from that, BGC Trust University waivers 10% tuition fee base on previous GPA score, and it reduce by 30% tuition fee waiver for female, tribal and freedom fighter wards.
Scholarships include the Chairman’s Scholarship and Vice Chancellor Scholarship.
