Belfast Star (formerly known as Star of the Sea) is a basketball club based in Belfast, Northern Ireland. They compete in the Irish Premier League and play their home games at Methodist College. The club are two-time league champions, winning titles back-to-back in 1997–98 and 1998–99.[1]
Entering the Irish National League in 1982,[2] the club played 30 seasons in the league before withdrawing in 2012 due to financial problems. After sitting out the 2012–13 season, the club re-entered the league in 2013–14.
