Swords Thunder is an Irish basketball club based in Swords, Dublin. Their senior men's team play in the Irish Premier League and are sponsored by Griffith College Dublin.
After playing in the National League Division 2 in 2011–12 and 2012–13,[1] the Thunder were promoted to the National League Division 1 for the 2013–14 season and went on to finish as runners-up.[2] They subsequently earned promotion to the Premier League for the 2014–15 season, finishing as regular season runners-up.[3] In 2015–16, they finished runners-up in the National Cup after losing to Templeogue in the final by three points.[4]
