Boon Keng is a subzone and residential estate located in Kallang, Singapore. There are three major streets that recently span this area, which are the Boon Keng Road, the Upper Boon Keng Road and the Lorong 1 Geylang.
Etymology
Both the roads and the estate were named after Lim Boon Keng, a Chinese physician who came to Singapore in 1880s and contributed on promoting social and educational reforms for the local society since 1890s.
Transport
The Boon Keng estate is currently served by Kallang MRT Station and Lorong 1 Geylang Bus Terminal.
