Presidential elections were held in Brazil on 3 October 1960.^[1] The result was a victory for Jânio Quadros, supported by the National Labour Party, National Democratic Union and the Christian Democratic Party, who won 48.3% of the vote. Voter turnout was 81.0%.^[2]
