Carl-August von Schönfeld (4 September 1898 – 16 April 1944) was a highly decorated Generalmajor in the Wehrmacht during World War II. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Carl-August von Schönfeld was killed on 16 April 1944 in Tarnopol, Ukraine. He was posthumously promoted to Generalmajor and on 4 May 1944 was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross.
