Carrie Austin

Carrie Austin is alderman of the 34th ward of the City of Chicago.

As a member of the Chicago City Council, she serves on six committees: Budget and Government operations; Energy, Environmental Protection and Public Utilities; Finance; Health; Housing and Real Estate; and Zoning.

In 2008 Austin was found to be one of seven Chicago aldermen who between them got ten of their children good-paying summer jobs with the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago.[1]

Austin has two political action committees, the "Friends of Carrie Austin" and the "Citizens for Carrie M. Austin."[2]

Austin served as a delegate to the 2012 Democratic National Convention.[3]
