Chaville is a commune in the southwestern suburbs of Paris, France. It is located 12.5 kilometres (7.8 mi) from the center of Paris.

Geography

Chaville borders on the following communes:

Roughly 44% of the land is forest. It is situated between the forest of Meudon to the southeast and the forest of Les Fausses-Reposes to the northwest.

History

The town was founded in the 9th century. Its name evolved from Inchadivilla to the present Chaville.
