'Shan' (山) and 'leng' (嶺) are the transliterations of the Cantonese words for 'mount' and 'ridge' respectively. 'Toi', 'Kong', 'Fung' and 'Koi' also correspond to 'Mount' in English; 'Teng' corresponds to 'peak' in English.
