Chivor is a town and municipality in the Colombian Department of Boyacá, part of the subregion of the Eastern Boyacá Province.Currently has 2126 inhabitants and has a temperature of 18°C. The town is most famous for the Emerald of Chivor.

Bordered to the north with the Municipality of Macanal; to the south with the Department of Cundinamarca, on the east with the Municipality of Santa María, and the west by the Municipality of Almeida.
