Coz I Luv You is a German compilation album released for the European (including Scandinavian) market.[1] The album is made up of tracks from early singles and half the album of Play It Loud. Following from the success of the "Coz I Luv You" single, the compilation was quickly compiled and released.
The compilation was the first Slade compilation ever released and features twelve tracks in total. It was released in Australia, the Netherlands,Japan and Germany*(it says on the back: Printed in Germany by Gerhard Kaiser GmbH Essen -W-Germany STEREO 2383 107) via Polydor[2] whilst a further German release was made by Luxor Gold, stated 1972,but was issued in 1973. In 1974, a re-issue within Germany was released via Karussell (with new artwork).[3] Each version had different artwork but the track listing remained the same except for the Dutch edition.[4] The compilation's main artwork was also the same as the German and Italian "Coz I Luv You" single.
The compilation incorrectly states the writing credit for "Get Down and Get with It" as Holder/Lee/Hill/Powell/Penniman, which should be Bobby Marchan. Jim Lea's name is also misspelt as Lee.
The compilation peaked at #10 in the Netherlands for a total of two weeks and has remained out-of-print since the original vinyl releases.

Allmusic.com wrote "It's a terrific compilation, with the album cuts certainly consistent with the majesty of the hits. Indeed, of all the myriad Slade compilations to have appeared over the decades since then, this - the earliest of them all - feels closer to a "real" album than any of them."[5]
