Crockett Allen Gillmore (born November 16, 1991) is an American football tight end for the Baltimore Ravens of the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted by the Ravens in the third round of the 2014 NFL Draft. He played college football at Colorado State.
High School
Gillmore attended Bushland High School in Bushland, Texas, where he was teammates with Weston Richburg. Gillmore was selected to the first-team all-district for both positions at wide receiver and defensive end.[1] He was named as the Amarillo Globe-News Offensive Player of the Year in high school.[1] He was an 2009 all-state honorable-mention and was selected to the first-team all-district.[1] He was selected as the Golden Spread 2A-3A Player of the Year during high school.[1]
College career
In his senior season, he was voted to the first-team All-Mountain West by coaches on December 11, 2013.[2] In January 2014, he participated in both the 2014 East-West Shrine Game[3] and 2014 Senior Bowl.[4]
Professional Career
Baltimore Ravens
On May 9, 2014 in the 2014 NFL Draft, Gillmore was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in the 3rd round, 99th overall by the Baltimore Ravens.
2014 Season
With starting tight end Dennis Pitta suffering a hip injury Gillmore was expected to play a larger role that first expected. In 15 games Gillmore had 10 receptions for 121 yards for 1 touchdown on 15 targets.[5]
2015 Season
In the Ravens 2015 season Gillmore was the starting tight end.[6] On December 21, 2015 Gillmore was placed on injured reserve with a back injury, ending his season. Gillmore's season would end with 33 receptions for 412 yards for 4 touchdowns on 46 targets.[7]
