DTC-3 is the cable-exclusive public access television channel for the cable TV subscribers of DTC Communications. Based in Alexandria, Tennessee, the channel serves cable TV customers in Cannon, De Kalb, and Smith Counties in Middle Tennessee, and portions of eastern Wilson and northeastern Rutherford Counties.[1]

The channel is available on DTC Communications cable channel 3. A High-definition version of the channel has launched in 2014, and it is available on digital channel 303.[2]

Programming

The channel provides local programming related to the DTC’s service area. Examples include locally produced coverage of worship services from the Woodbury Church of Christ, community events like county fairs and parades, and local government meetings. News and local community events are listed on the channel set to the audio of WJLE radio in Smithville. Locally syndicated programming on DTC-3 include WNPT’s Tennessee’s Wild Side and Inside Music Row, along with Searching the Scriptures.[3] The channel also provides syndicated reruns of The Lucy Show, though the episodes run on the channel are presumably in the public domain.

DTV3 is the local home to advertisements for local merchants to take out ads to be shown on the channel. They are shown with the audio of WJLE radio.

DTC Sports

DTC-3’s sports division provides coverage of local high school football and basketball involving the sports programs of Cannon County, Gordonsville, DeKalb County, and Smith County high schools.[4]

Related channels

DTC’s Local information channel on DTC cable channel 1 provides local weather information.[2]
