History
95.5 Gentle Wind (1995-1998)
DYMX was originally broadcast in 1995 as 95.5 Gentle Wind instead of brand The Gentle Wind 95.5 like its Metro Manila counterparts. It would compete with rival stations after its closure and 102.7 DWSM-FM from 1987 onwards. 3 years later, 95.5 Gentle Wind was signed-off in 1998 due to give way to its station rebranded as Star FM.
95.5 Star FM (1998-present)
In 1998, Bombo Radyo Network rebranded the station as 95.5 Star FM. The new format played OPM songs, along with foreign songs and news. The station started with "masa" trend in FM stations. Presently, the station plays classics every Sunday, and the new hits and OPM every Monday to Saturday.
