Dakshineswar (Bengali: দক্ষিনেশ্বর) is a town under Kamarhati Municipality in Barrackpore subdivision of the city Kolkata in West Bengal. Belgharia Police Station of Barrackpore Police is responsible or law and order at Dakshineswar.
Contaminated ground water
North 24 Parganas district has been identified as one of the areas where ground water is affected by arsenic contamination.[1]
