Dani Daniels (born September 23, 1989)[1] is an American pornographic actress, director, feature dancer, and webcam model.[3]

Early life

Daniels was born in Orange County, California.[2] She is of Czech, English, and German descent.[1] She was an athlete in high school and volleyball, softball, soccer, track and field, football, golf, and tennis were among the sports she played.[4][5] She attended an art school for about two years, but dropped out.[5]

Career

Daniels began stripping prior to her porn career to pay off her art school debt.[5][6] Her stage name was derived from the first name of an ex-boyfriend as an act of revenge against him.[5][7] She entered the adult film industry in January 2011 and joined the agency OC Modelling.[8] Her first scene was for Reality Kings.[7] She was initially a lesbian-only performer, but later started performing with men also.[9] Her first four sex scenes with men were in the film Dani Daniels: Dare for Elegant Angel.[9] Elegant Angel also produced an all-girl film titled Dani, which features Daniels in every scene.[10] Dani won the 2013 AVN Award for Best All-Girl Release.[11]

Daniels has directed for Filly Films, Penthouse Studios, Brazzers, and Reality Kings.[12][13]

Daniels was the Twistys Treat of the Month for July 2011,[14] the Penthouse Pet of the Month for January 2012,[2] and Elegant Angel's Girl of the Month for March 2014.[15] That same month, Brazzers cast her in the lead role of a five-part series titled The Whore of Wall Street, an adult parody of The Wolf of Wall Street.[16]

Daniels started out webcam modeling for Streamate.[17] She is now on Camsoda.com.[3]

Daniels performed for the 2014 film Dani Daniels Deeper,[18] which won the AVN Award for Best Interracial Release[19] and the XBIZ Award for Interracial Release of the Year in 2015.[20] In 2015, she collaborated with Doc Johnson to create a line of sex toys,[21] which won the 2016 AVN Fan Award for Most Amazing Sex Toy.[22]

Daniels was placed on CNBC's list of "The Dirty Dozen: Porn's Most Popular Stars" in 2014[23] and 2015.[24]

Personal life

In addition to working in the adult entertainment industry, Daniels is also a blogger and painter.[3] She creates her artwork under the name Pen15.[21] Her technique is pointillism.[5] As of January 2016, she is attending flight school.[3] She identifies as bisexual but mainly considers herself a "girl/girl model".[9] She voiced her support for Bernie Sanders in the 2016 United States presidential election as well as her dislike for Donald Trump.[25]
