Delhi Public School, Ranchi was established on 17 July 1989 in Ranchi, Jharkhand.[1] The school is a co-educational English medium Senior Secondary School recognized by the Directorate of Education and affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education under All India 10+2 pattern in both science and commerce streams and has a library consisting of over 25000 books. It is managed by the Delhi Public School Society.[2]

The school is located in the Satellite Colony, Ranchi. "Service Before Self" is the motto of the school. The students of the school are referred to as "Dipsites". On 24 June 2009, Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam visited the school campus and interacted with the students.[3] To build a spirit of healthy competition, inculcate self-confidence and team spirit, students are divided into six houses (Ganges, Jamuna, Ravi, Jhelum, Chenab and Sutlej). Activities like elocution, debate, quiz, music, sports and games are held; points are awarded. At the end of the year, the house with most points is awarded a running trophy. The school hosted the National Inter DPS Multi Sports Meet for girls in October 2011.[4]

The current principal of the school is Dr. Ram Singh.[5]
