Duronto Rajshahi (Bengali: দুরন্ত রাজশাহী) was a franchise cricket team that played in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) representing the division of Rajshahi, Bangladesh. The team participated in first two seasons of Bangladesh Premier League. The captain was Simon Katich and his deputy was Tamim Iqbal. The head coach was local boy and also former national team wicketkeeper Khaled Mashud and the batting coach being former national team spinner and commentator Athar Ali Khan.
History
On 10 January 2012, Digital Auto Care made the winning bid of $1.07 million for the franchise.
First season
The men in yellow had started off the tournament poorly by losing to Chittagong by over 200 runs. Then losing against Barisal who posted a high total. The yellows had a strong come back after successive defeats at the start of the tournament to come back winning seven games in a row. This led to their rise to the top of the league as number one to then progress on to the semi final stages. Having fought back after a collapse of the top order the captain Mushy as able to build a strong partnership along with Zimbabwean Sean Ervine to an imposing total. However they lost due to an unstoppable century by Ahmed Shehzad
