The electoral division of Murchison is one of the fifteen electorates in the Tasmanian Legislative Council. It is the largest electorate in size, covering an area of 19,675 km².
It is located on the western coast of Tasmania and includes the municipalities of Waratah-Wynyard, West Coast and Circular Head.
The electorate is named after Mount Murchison near Rosebery and the Murchison River (Tasmania) which also flows through the region.
Within the boundaries of Murchison are the towns of; Queenstown, Zeehan, Rosebery, Wynyard, Smithton, Stanley, Somerset, Strahan and Waratah.
The number of enrolled voters is 23,820. The sitting member is Ruth Forrest, who was re-elected unopposed in 2011.
