In medicine, fasciitis /ˌfæʃiˈaɪtɪs/ is an inflammation of the fascia,[1] which is the connective tissue surrounding muscles, blood vessels and nerves.
In particular, it often involves one of the following diseases:
- Necrotizing fasciitis
- Plantar fasciitis
- Eosinophilic fasciitis
- Paraneoplastic fasciitis
