Firedrake (Dungeons & Dragons)

In the Dungeons & Dragons fantasy role-playing game, the firedrake is a type of draconic creature.
Publication history
The firedrake first appeared in the original first edition Fiend Folio (1981).[1]
The firedrake appeared in the second edition in the Monstrous Compendium Fiend Folio Appendix (1992),[2] and appeared under the "dragonet" entry in the Monstrous Manual (1993).[3]
Description
A firedrake is similar in appearance to a young red dragon, but is not as intelligent or as powerful as a true dragon. A firedrake will respond with its flame breath whenever something disturbs it.
Other publishers
The fire drake appeared under the "drake" heading in the Tome of Horrors (2002) from Necromancer Games.[4]
