Francisco 'Fran' Escribá Segura (born 3 May 1965) is a Spanish football manager.

Club career

Born in Valencia, Escribá played youth football with Valencia CF, but never competed as a professional. In 2002 he returned to the club, taking care of the youth sides.

In 2004 Escribá started an association with Quique Flores that would last several seasons, always as assistant. He started with Getafe CF, subsequently moving to S.L. Benfica and Atlético Madrid; the pair went their separate ways at the end of the 2010–11 season because the former wanted to have a go at head coaching.[1]

Escribá was appointed at Segunda División club Elche CF on 12 June 2012.[2] In his first year he led the Valencian to La Liga after an absence of 25 years[3] and, on 29 May 2013, renewed his contract for two more seasons.[4]

On 26 June 2015, following Elche's administrative relegation, Escribá was named Getafe CF manager.[5] On 11 April of the following year, with the side seriously threatened with relegation, he was sacked.[6]
