Građanski košarkaški klub Šibenik is a professional basketball club based in Šibenik, Croatia. It competes in the second Croatian basketball league. The club considers itself a spiritual successor, if not a legal one, to the legendary KK Šibenik.
History
The club was founded in 2010 under the name Šibenik Stari grad (Šibenik Old town). In August 2011 club changed its name to the present one.
As famous Šibenik's club KK Šibenka bankrupted, GKK Šibenik competed with local KK Jolly to become most popular basketball club in town, carrying the legendary club's colors and playing in the same basketball hall. GKK Šibenik managed to win sympathies of many Šibenik residents who now see GKK Šibenik as a successor to famous KK Šibenka.
GKK Sibenik, now plays in A1 Croatian league .
