Ghulam Muhammad Abad (Urdu: غلام محمد آباد ) (often shortened to G M Abad) is the largest residential area of Faisalabad, Punjab, Pakistan.
Ghulam Muhammadabad is situated in the north west of the city. This colony was named in the honor of Governor General of Pakistan, Ghulam Muhammad. This is of the most populated area of the city and one of the earlier town which was designed properly but due to lack of interest of MNAs, MPA, and Counselor the value of that design is lost. Chandani Chowk, Adam Chowk, Liaqat Chowk, Shahi Chowk, Sultani Chowk, Sadar Bazar, Chowk Pir Sahib, Govt. General Hospital, Gole Masjid and Sabzi Mandi are famous places in Ghulam Muhammad a bad. Upgradation of Govt. General Hospital was approved by the chief minister of punjab, Chuhadary Pervaiz Ilahi in 2004. Mostly people of the society are called as Gulamabadi, because of their typical behaviour which they inherited from their ancestors. Ghulamabadi people are simple minded and most hostile in the area.
