Gans, California

Gans (also, Gaus) is a former settlement in Humboldt County, California.[1] It was located 13 miles (21 km) south of Orick.[1] Latitude: 41.27623 Longitude: -124.00479

The Gaus post office opened in 1887, changed its name to Gans in 1888, moved several times, and closed for good in 1904.[1] It was named for George W. Gans, a local landowner.[1]
