Gearáoid McInerney (born 24 September 1990) is an Irish hurler who currently plays as a right wing-back for the Galway senior team.

Born in Oranmore, County Galway, McInerney was introduced to hurling by his father, Gerry McInerney, a two-time All-Ireland medallist with Galway. A late-comer to the game at the age of fifteen, he was a key member of the Calasanctius College senior team. At club level he plays with Oranmore-Maree.

McInerney made his debut on the inter-county scene when he first linked up with the Galway under-21 team. He is an All-Ireland medallist in this grade.[1] Mcinerney made his senior championship debut during the 2014 championship.
