The Gibraltar Petanque Association (GPA) is a small pétanque federation in the British overseas territory of Gibraltar, with the aim of promoting the sport within the territory. The association is made up of approximately 80 members (ranging from ages 13 to 93) with its premises located at the Giralda Gardens on the city walls of Gibraltar along Smith Dorrien Avenue. Its facilities consist of four floodlit pistes.[1]
Competitions
The GPA is a member of the Fédération Internationale de Pétanque et Jeu Provençal (French: International Federation of Pétanque and Provençal Game) (FIPJP) which allows Gibraltar to participate in international competitions. The Federation also holds their own competitions regularly. These are as follows:[1]
- Men's League
- Women League
- National Day Tournament
- Presidents Cup
