HD 162020 b is a brown dwarf with mass 15.0 MJ. The mass is minimum since inclination is not known. This planetar orbits very close to the star at a distance of 0.075 AU. Despite of this, it has an eccentric orbit of 27.7%. The distance from the star ranges from 0.054 to 0.096 AU. It has an extremely high semi-amplitude of 1.813 km/s. The discovery was announced on April 15, 2000 by the Geneva Extrasolar Planet Search Team.[1]
