Halkapınar (İzmir Metro)
The Halkapınar Metro Station (Turkish: Halkapınar Istasyonu) is a metro station on the Izmir Metro. The station was built in 1999 and opened in 2000. The station is a part of the Halkapınar Transportation Center where connections are available to the Turkish State Railways and ESHOT, İZULAŞ bus services. The İzmir Metro has a maintenance facility next to the station as well.
Station Layout
The station is right next to the Halkapınar Railway Station and the Halkapınar Bus Terminal. The station is in between the two and there is a footbridge, that connects the 3 stations together. The station has 2 island platforms and 4 tracks. Tracks 1 and 2 are for westbound trains, while tracks 3 and 4 are for eastbound trains. There is also a connection to the maintenance facility next to the station.
