Awards Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross (posthumously)

Heinz Krey (31 December 1921 in Wiesbaden – 23 May 1943 in the North Atlantic) was a German chief engineer on a U-boat in World War II and a posthumous recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross (German: Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuzes). The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership.

In Flensburg-Mürwik are two streets named after him. The Heinz-Krey-Straße and the Heinz-Krey-hof, both in the near of the Naval Academy Mürwik.
