Hidden Valley Wildlife Management Area is a protected area located in Washington County, Virginia, along its border with Russell County. 6,400 acres (26 km2) in size, it is mostly forested mountain land, save for a number of small openings which are developed to maintain habitat for local wildlife. Its elevation ranges from 2000 to over 4,000 feet (1,200 m) above sea level. The area was logged during the early years of the twentieth century; today the forest that remains is predominantly of mature mixed hardwood. At the head of the valley is Hidden Valley Lake, which serves as the source of Brumley Creek.
