Imtiaz Rashid Qureshi (इम्तिआज़ रशीद कुरैशी ) is a Pakistani lawyer, activist and founder of nonprofit Bhagat Singh Memorial Foundation of Pakistan based in Pakistan.[1][2][3]

Career in law

He is a lawyer by profession, practicing in Lahore High Court in [Punjab]] province of Pakistan.[2][3][4][5][6]

Activism

He is the founder of nonprofit Bhagat Singh Memorial Foundation of Pakistan based in Pakistan.[3][4][5]

Bhagat Singh Law Suit

The founder of the foundation, Imtiaz Rashid Qureshi has filed a lawsuit in Lahore High Court for re-opening of the Bhagat Singh's legal case to prove his innocence and to obtain monetary compensation from British government against the trumped up charges and unfair trail by the British Raj.[4] Lahore High court decided to hear the case starting from February 2016.[1][3][6][6][7]

Bhagat Singh Birth Place Memorial

Through his Bhagat Singh Memorial Foundation of Pakistan, he has successfully championed the cause of renovating the Bhagat Singh Birth Place Memorial in Pakistan at the birthplace of Bhagat Singh Banga (previously called Chak 105 GB) village in Faisalabad District (previously called Lyallpur) in the Punjab province of Pakistan on his martyrdom day of 23 March.[5][8]
