Isaban is an unincorporated community located on Fourpole Creek, adjacent to the water body Fivepole Creek, in McDowell and Mingo counties in the U.S. state of West Virginia. Isaban was named in honor the wife of a coal company's owner. Her name was Isabelle. Isaban was a booming coal town in its heyday, but now holds a small community. There are two churches located in Isaban: Isaban Church of God and Isaban Baptist Church.
