Club career
Johor Darul Ta'zim
After a season with Independiente, Lucero signed with defending Malaysia Super League champions, Johor Darul Ta'zim F.C. on 11 February 2016. He made his debut for his new club during the 2016 Malaysia Super League in a 1-1 draw against Selangor FA, where JDT lifted their third Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Cup after winning on penalties (7 - 6 p). Lucero scored his first 2 goals for JDT during an 8-1 thrashing of Ayeyawady United during the 2016 AFC Cup group stage.
