K.H. Muniyappa (born 7 March 1948) is a member of the 16th Lok Sabha of India. He has consecutively represented the Kolar constituency of Karnataka in the Lok Sabha since 1991 and is a member of the Indian National Congress (INC) political party. He was the Union Minister of State (Independent charge) of Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises.
Political career
Muniyappa has represented Kolar seven times consecutively: (10th Lok Sabha, 11th Lok Sabha, 12th Lok Sabha, 13th Lok Sabha, 14th Lok Sabha, 15th Lok Sabha and 16th Lok Sabha). His son is an IRS officer.
K.H. Muniyappa was the Union Minister of state for Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises.[1] He was administered the oath of office along with 59 other ministers on 28 May 2009 by President of India Pratibha Patil.
K.H. Muniyappa was Minister of State for Surface transport, National Highways & Shipping in the UPA 1 Government at the Centre. He was Minister of State for Railways, Government of India in the UPA 2 Government at the Center.
