KLPX is a classic rock radio station that serves Tucson, Arizona. KLPX broadcasts on the frequency of 96.1 MHz and broadcasts from northwest Tucson. The KLPX transmitter is located on Tower Peak in the Tucson Mountains, with studios in the northside of the city.

History

The station was assigned the call letters KCEE-FM on 09-25-1978. On 06-15-1979, the station changed its call sign to KTKT-FM and on 02-26-1981 to the current KLPX.[1]
