KXOF-CD digital channel 39.1 is a low powered Fox affiliate in Laredo, Texas, owned by Entravision Communications. KXOF also airs MyNetworkTV programming from 10pm - Midnight, and syndicated programming from 12am - 6am. KXOF can also be seen on KETF-CD subchannel 31.2 in 720p HD. KXOF produces Laredo Fox News, launched on April 9, 2012. The newscast airs Monday through Friday at 9 pm. KXOF is also a MundoFox affiliate and transmits its programming on digital subchannel 39.2.

History

Under the ownership of "Aracelia Ortiz, Executrix of the Estate Of Carlos Ortiz" (co-founders of La Familia Network and Fe-TV), it broadcast programming from TBN Enlace USA 24 hours a day, as KNEZ-CA. In March 2007, the station was acquired by Entravision Communications Corporation, owners of KLDO-TV and KETF-CD, with the intent to affiliate the station with the Fox network. In July 2007 Entravision changed the station's callsign to KXOF and began to air Fox programming.

Laredo did not have a Fox affiliated station since 2002, when the network was carried on XHFTX-TV (now XHLAR-TV, a secondary Televisa affiliate). Between 2002 and 2007, Laredo could only receive Fox programming on Time Warner Cable through San Antonio's KABB.

On August 1, 2012 KXOF shutdown it analog signal and started broadcasting Fox 720p HD programming in digital television on virtual channel 39.1 and MundoFox SD 480i programming on virtual channel 39.2.

Digital services

In August 2012, KXOF started broadcasting its Fox programming in digital 720p high definition on channel 39.1 and MundoFox programming on its subchannel 39.2. Its signal is also available on KETF-CD's subchannel 31.2 in 720p high definition.[1]
