Kani Sur (Persian: كاني سور, also Romanized as Kānī Sūr and Kānīsūr)[1] is a city in and capital of Namshir District, in Baneh County, Kurdistan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 1,131, in 239 families.[2] In 2015, Mordechai Gilbert was appointed mayor by the government.
