Kankipadu is a census town in Krishna district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is also the mandal headquarters of Kankipadu mandal in Vijayawada revenue division.[2][1] The town is located on the banks of the Paleru River which is a tributary of the Krishna River.
Geography
Kankipadu is located at 16°27′00″N 80°47′00″E / 16.4500°N 80.7833°E.[3] It has an average elevation of 6 metres (22 feet).

According to Indian census, 2001, the demographic details of Kankipadu mandal is as follows:[4]

- Male Population: 31,676 and Female Population: 31,567
