Kaorti
In the Dungeons & Dragons fantasy roleplaying game, the kaorti is a type of fictional monster.
Publication history
The kaorti first appeared in the third edition Fiend Folio (2003).[1] The kaortic hulk appeared in Dragon #330 (April 2005). The kaorti was further developed in "The Ecology of the Kaorti" in Dragon #358 (August 2007), which introduced the urquirsh.
Description
The kaorti are evil creatures of the Far Realm. A kaorti is humanoid in shape, and usually appears dressed in a form-fitting armor make of thick resins and tissues grown and cultivated by kaorti alchemists. The kaorti were once a group of curious wizards exploring the Far Realm who went mad and were transformed by the dimension's energies into new creatures.
