Kasalan (Persian: كسلان, also Romanized as Kasalān)[1] is a village in Tirchai Rural District, Kandovan District, Meyaneh County, East Azerbaijan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 209, in 59 families.[2]

Many famous people were born in this village. One of them is Mirza Fattah Khan Garmroudi, who had a political mission with Hossein Khan Ajodan Bashi to Austria, France and England. Mirza Fattah Khan Garmroudi has 3 travel books entitled: "Four seasons", "Nights", and "Mamasani" which later was collected by his grandson "Fatheddin Fattahi" with many historical documents in one 1200 pages book. Also, his grandson, Soltan Hussein Fattahi, founder and director of Emersun company, which was selected as one of top Iranian entrepreneur by Iranian government has born in this village.
