Hakimi Lebovic[1] will be a stop on the Toronto Transit Commission's Eglinton Crosstown line. It will be located in the Golden Mile neighbourhood at the intersection of Eglinton Avenue and Lebovic Avenue.[2] It is one of three stations on the line which do not connect to any buses, and is scheduled to open in 2021.

In a report to the TTC Board on 23 November 2015 it was recommended that stations on Line 5 Eglinton LRT should be given unique names.[1] The TTC, at that meeting, requested that Metrolinx change the name of the station from Lebovic to Hakimi, after the road that runs north off the same intersection.[3] On January 15, 2016, the board of director in Metrolinx decided to use Hakimi Lebovic as the final name of the station. TTC staff evaluated the initial report and the proposed names and provided feedback and recommendations. A primary TTC concern was to avoid replication and redundancy with existing TTC station names. The proposed names are unique and are not likely to be confused with existing station names.

But the board also voted to ask Metrolinx, which is building the provincially owned Crosstown, to reconsider its choice of Lebovic Ave. as a stop name. The street runs south of Eglinton at one Scarborough stop. The TTC thinks Hakimi Ave., the road that runs north off the same intersection, would be a better choice. It leads to Centennial College and Ashtonbee Park — two prominent destinations in that neighbourhood.
